Palabras de Styrofoam
This series of photographs is a speculation about how words are presented in the western-Cartesian thinking: the word as "material wrapping for thought". The series is a criticism to this idea. I believe it arbitrary to think that words cover ideas as some kind of direct translators of mental complexity. Words are only wrapping for themselves and usually, for political strategies and senses (politics of language). In this sense I am using Styrofoam here as an ellipsis of this "wrapping", material normally used to protect objects during transportation. Thus, the pieces are photos of Styrofoam packaging fragments, enlarged to big sizes trying to make them important, not as containers but as "content". The words Plan A, Plan B and Plan C appear on the pictures. In short, they are plans or strategies for not thinking words as sense holders.
