Satelite View
The serie Satellite View is a group of paintings that intend to evoke the photographic images produced by the satellites that sorround earth. The pieces become graphic images of fictitious territories or abstract spaces. My interest is to stablish an analogy between the satellite as a producer of images and the audience as a producer of meanings for these abstract images.
On the other hand, this serie is based on the frustration that the individual that lives in Cuba feels because he cannot have a global vision (satellite view) of the world but a fragmented and incomplete one. That is why I produce these fictitious versions of the global.
